BCH Enders Windows

The window removal at on the 13th floor at Boston Children's Hospital Enders building posed various challenges that UAS was able to successfully overcome. Unique preventative measures were taken to ensure any glass debris from falling from the containment area, which was a specific safety requirement of the project. UAS applied a film to the entire window and then carefully cut out a “moon shaped” portion in the glass at the corner. A suction device was affixed to the window pane before slowly removing the glass in one piece. Once the glass was securely inside, it was broken down and safely disposed. This technique was performed to an entire floor of windows.
